MCMLA Express Submission Guidelines

The MCMLA Express accepts articles and news items that pertain to the field of librarianship and are of interest to the MCMLA membership.  MCMLA members, as well as outside MLA Chapter members, may submit items for consideration.  Submissions may be general topics in the field of librarianship, summaries of projects or research, professional accomplishments and news of members, and MCMLA, MLA, or other organizational announcements.  Articles may be edited for length, content, and clarity and headlines may be changed by the Editor.

The Express is published quarterly: February, May, August, and November. Deadlines for submissions are February 1, May 1, August 1, and November 1.

Items must be submitted according to the following guidelines:

1. Submitted as an email attachment to the Editor, Heather Brown hlbrown@unmc.edu
2. Article files must be in .doc or .rtf format
3. Times New Roman font preferred
4. Graphics can be embedded within the item document or attached to the email and must be in .jpg or .gif format.
5. The following byline information must be included with each submitted article:
   1. Name, Degree, AHIP
   2. MCMLA Chair or Committee membership (if relevant to submission)
   3. Library Name
   4. Institution Name
   5. City, State
   6. Email address
6. The following information should be included in the new member profiles:
   1. Name, Degree, AHIP
   2. Position
   3. Library (or School)
   4. Institution
   5. Street Address
   6. City, State
   7. Phone number
   8. Email Address
