Honors and Awards Committee

The Honors and Awards Committee identifies and recognizes members of the Chapter who have made significant contributions to the organization and the profession through the awarding of the Chapter's three highest awards:

• Bernice M. Hetzner Award for Excellence in Academic Health Science Librarianship
• Barbara McDowell Award for Excellence in Hospital Librarianship
• MCMLA Outstanding Achievement Award
  

The committee also recognizes all Chapter members who have contributed to the organization in the past year with a certificate of service.

The committee, along with the MCMLA Executive Committee, awards money to members to attend the Chapter meeting and the annual MLA meeting.
