About Cody
MCMLA Dining
Suggested Dining Experiences: (Reservations Required)
- Proud Cut Saloon: Their claim to fame is "Kick Ass Cowboy Cuisine". The atmosphere and furnishings are distinctly western. Rodeo and western photographs (and memorabilia) line the walls along with real wildlife mounts. Relax with your favorite drink and enjoy a great meal here! Smoke free. Downtown Cody.
- Willow Fence Tea Room: Your group of ladies will especially appreciate this dining experience with everything homemade and elegantly served. Open Wednesday thru Saturday 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Come relax in a unique atmosphere of feminine colors, distinct furnishings and cozy alcoves. High tea available for groups, advance reservations necessary. 307-587-0888
- Cassie's Supper Club: This historic supper club was once a "house of ill-repute" and was named after the Madam, Cassie Waters. Today it is a hot spot for the locals and tourists alike with live music on Friday and Saturday night. They have great food in a fun atmosphere. Good place to sit and have a drink together and enjoy a nice meal.
- Wapiti Steak House: Take a short, scenic drive (approx. 20 minutes) up the North Fork to have dinner here. Totally western, lodge-type atmosphere. One of my favorite places to eat when I want to get out of town. I might recommend this as a dinner outing if you don't mind the drive.
- Maxwell's: One of the most popular contemporary restaurants with the locals. They always serve consistent, high quality food. Smoke free and located close to the Buffalo Bill Historical Center at the edge of downtown.
- Shiki: New Japanese Restaurant, I haven't been there yet but word has it that it is fantastic. It takes awhile to get in and out, so don't go if you're in a hurry.
- Rib and Chop House: Probably the best tasting all around food in Cody. Located in downtown Cody, very busy place and is quite popular with the locals. Reasonably priced, smoke-free, contemporary atmosphere.
- Hong Kong: Chinese restaurant. Fast service, good food, they have a nice lunch buffet.
- Irma: Great historic place to go, this was called "Buffalo Bill's Hotel in the Rockies". Buffalo Bill named it after his daughter "Irma". Not my favorite place to eat, but a must-see for all visitors to Cody. See the original cherry wood bar, antique photographs and cowboy atmosphere. Visit the "Silver Saddle Saloon" and relax with a drink.
- La Comida: Mexican fare, good margaritas and deadly Mexican Margaritas! Smoke free.
- Zapata's: More authentic Mexican food, great chips and salsa. Smoke free.
