I’m excited to announce that the Midwest and Midcontinental Chapters of MLA will be co-hosting a free Library Carpentry workshop through funding from NNLM Region 4.
April 2-4, from 8am - 1pm (MST), 9am – 2pm (CST), 10pm – 3pm (EST).

We will notify you of your enrollment or wait list status by Thursday, March 7th at 4:00 p.m. CT.
If we offer you enrollment, please confirm your commitment to attend by Friday, March 15th at 4:00 p.m. CT.
We will have 25 spots available and are prioritizing members of the Midwest and Midcontinental Chapters.
Library Carpentry focuses on building software and data skills within library and information-related communities. Their hands-on, approachable workshops empower people in a variety of roles to use software and data in their own work and support effective, efficient, reproducible practices. In this 3-day interactive, hands-on virtual workshop you will learn core data skills to help you build confidence in working with data in library- and information-related settings. During the April 2024 workshop, we will be covering the following lessons:
